Two other companies quoted a full re-sheathing without going up on the roof. These lads lifted a shingle, showed me the boards were tight and sound, and quoted a plywood overlay for about two thirds of the price. Photographed the deck open before covering it. The invoice matched the estimate exactly.

Lost a strip of shingles off the back in July. They pointed out the old nails had gone into the gaps between the boards rather than into the boards, which is why it let go. Renailed properly and repaired the one slope. Nobody else had even mentioned the decking.
